As a reviewer for JBAEM, you are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity. Key responsibilities include:

Confidentiality

All manuscripts and review materials must be treated as confidential. Do not share or discuss manuscripts with others without explicit permission from the editor.

Conflicts of Interest

Disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could bias your review. Decline to review if you have a significant conflict.

No Personal Advantage

Do not use information from unpublished manuscripts for your own research or personal advantage.

Timely Response

Complete reviews within the requested timeframe. If you cannot meet the deadline, notify the editor promptly.

1. Originality and Novelty

• Manuscript presents new and valuable insights
• The research adds notable contributions to the field

2. Manuscript Organization

The manuscript is structured according to the manuscript type

3. Research Design and Methodology

• Methods are clearly described and adequately referenced
• Data analysis is accurate and consistent

4. Results, Figures, and Tables

• Results, figures, and tables are clear and consistent
• They effectively support the manuscript's conclusions

5. Scientific Validity

Results are interpreted accurately and logically

6. References and Citations

References are adequate, current, and relevant

7. Ethical Considerations

• Ethical approvals (human/animal subjects) are referred to in the manuscript when applicable
• Essential conflicts of interest are disclosed when applicable

8. Recommendation for Publication

• Accept without revisions
• Accept with minor revisions
• Accept with major revisions
• Reject (provide reasons)

Applicants must have a postgraduate degree in the relevant field and have at least three original research papers in journals indexed by Index Medicus, EMBASE, or DOAJ. Please note that the acceptance of applications are at the sole discretion of the editorial team.
