Abstract

In the evolving landscape of evidence-based medicine (EBM), traditional hierarchies of evidence-anchored by randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and systematic reviews-are increasingly being challenged by the emergence of new evidence modalities. The article 'Redefining the Hierarchy of Evidence in Medicine in the Era of the Next Generation Clinical Trials and Real-World Evidence' by El Oakley et al. offers a compelling re-examination of how clinical evidence should be ranked in the era of precision medicine, OMICS-guided trials, and real-world data analytics.1
